This year's race probably is the most extreme and tough for athletes despite the fact that the Long course decreased from 72 to 50 hours, and the Short course decreased from 48 to 24 hours. Participants are testing their limits in cold windy and rainy weather. Long-lasting kayaking stage was one of the most difficult, and few teams even refused to continue passing the distance.

Among those who continued struggle the fastest four-persons team came to the finish line after 24 hours 35 min 18 sec; two-persons team MW - after 23:50:54, and two-persons team MM - after 24:35:29.
